New high-performance, low-odour flooring adhesive 30 November 2023

Thanks to its high adhesive strength and shear strength, the new carpet adhesive THOMSIT T 420 from PCI Augsburg GmbH is the optimal solution for bonding all types of textile coverings. Installers benefit from safe installation without seam shrinkage and joint formation, even with critical coverings such as needle felt and ball yarn.
Thanks to its formula with a very low resin content, the new textile flooring adhesive THOMSIT T 420 also has a significantly reduced odour, making it pleasant to use in poorly ventilated rooms or ideal for users who are sensitive to odours. The adhesive meets the additional Blue Angel requirement for low-odour adhesives and is also EC 1 Plus certified as a very low-emission product. In this way, it contributes to improving indoor air quality and to healthy living construction, whole also improving occupational safety and environmental compatibility.
The flash-off time of THOMSIT T 420 is approximately 10 minutes, with the newly covered floor being fully resilient after around 24 hours.
“With the new THOMSIT T 420, we are pleased to be able to offer a particularly powerful carpet adhesive with high adhesion and shear strength, which offers the highest level of security when bonding textile coverings and reliably and permanently impresses even with critical coverings,” says Stephan Tschernek, head of marketing, PCI Group. “In addition, users and end consumers benefit from the low-odour properties of the new THOMSIT T 420, which is both Blue Angel and EC 1 Plus certified. THOMSIT T 420 is therefore the ideal solution even when there are increased requirements for odour reduction. These are convincing arguments not only for the processor, but also for advice from specialist retailers.”
