Multifunction Frame Plug design software available 06 March 2024

New frameplug design dimensioning software, which enables the easy and precise calculation of how many multifunctional frame plugs (MFRs) are required for fastening façade substructures, is now avaibale for download from international fastener and fixings maker, Celo. MFRs, also known as frame fixings, are one of the most popular fixings when looking to mount façade substructures made of wood or metal, metal brackets and wooden slats, or windows and door fixings.

The new software is said by Celo to be ideal as a design aid for structural engineers, craftsmen, or other end-users and offers excellent visualisation of results for a wide range of project options; it considers timber and metal substructures, enables dimensioning for various façade structures, and offers flexibility in façade construction with input possibilities of up to four lath levels in both horizontal and vertical dimensions. The software also enables users to choose insulation thickness and/or arrangement, e.g. whether under, or between battens, or without insulation, altogether.

For its part, the company’s experience in offering a wide range of high-quality, German-made, ETA-approved, ageing-, weather-, and UV-resistant nylon MFR frame fixings, which have been extensively tested, underpins the new software.

Currently available in German, English and Spanish, with other languages to follow, the software meets latest EAD 330284-00-0604 and TR 064 guidelines.
