Sustainable bonding solutions without solvents 15 April 2021

Lohmann has introduced the new TwinMelt® technology – a bonding technology that simultaneously meets the needs of the market and protects the environment, making another big step to a reduced carbon footprint and sustainable adhesive bonding.

This new technology allows for a combination of different materials, features and properties, as well as featuring new carrier materials, solvent-free acrylic and rubber systems - used for individual customer requirements and toll coating in every industry. Lohmann says this is 100% solvent-free and can be used in the automotive, graphics, home appliance, electronics, industrial and medical industries.

With TwinMelt®, Lohmann says it has created a bonding technology that simultaneously meets the needs of the market and protects the environment. It enables emission savings of up to 3,500t of CO2 per year – a value equivalent to the CO2 storage of 7,000 trees. Future oriented materials and adhesive systems as well as an energy efficient process control are the main factors within this optimised value chain.
