Stability and security for pipeline fasteners 23 March 2023

fischer has released a new line of pipeline fasteners, featuring fixed points and sliding elements that help prevent cables from being damaged by temperature fluctuations. The series features a range of products for different loads and structural conditions.

By expanding when it is hot and contracting when it is cold, pipes can experience significant movement and damage as a result. With the new fischer fixed points and sliding elements, HVAC professionals can ensure installations remain intact, even with high system temperatures.

The new ficher fixed points are suitable for aligning thermally induced pipe expansions in the desired direction that prevent displacements between pipes and strcutures in hot or cold lines. For matching various requirements, fischer offers a light (FFP-C, FFP-L), medium-heavy (FFS-M, FFP-M) and heavy (FFS-H, FFP-H) fastening solution.

The compact fixed points FFP-C, FFS-M and FFS-H are designed to divert the occurring forces directly into the structure. Also, the medium-heavy FFS-M and the heavy FFS-H are height-adjustable. FFP-L, FFP-M and FFP-H allow the suspension height to be adjusted, as they are braced on one or both sides with threaded rods. All the fischer fixed points are used in conjunction with the fischer FFSC fixed point clamp and are galvanised for installations in buildings.

Another offering from fischer is its new sliding elements, which are suitable for absorbing pipe expansions. The sliders FASC and FASL are ideal for light-weight pipes. The FASC has a maximum sliding distance of 40mm, while the FASL has a maximum of 100mm – 120mm. FASC has a maximum load capacity of 0.7kN, while the FASL is 1.5kN. Both sliders are available with a metric combination thread with a diameter of M8/M10 and the FASL is also available with a single M10 thread.

A third sliding glider is also offered, the FASM, which is ideal for absorbing pipe expansions for medium-heavy pipes up to at least DN150. Its maximum sliding distance is 100mm – 150mm and has a maximum load capacity is 3.0kN. The FASM is available with a metric combination thread with a diameter of M10/M12.

FASM is available with a metric combination thread with a diameter of M10/M12. As well as the fischer roller glider FASH is suitable for absorbing pipe expansions for heavy pipes up to at least DN350. It has a maximum sliding distance of 140mm and a maximum load capacity of 10.0 kN. fischer offers the FASH with a metric combination thread with a diameter of M12/M16. The sliding gliders FASM2 and FASH2 have an additional plus in terms of safety thanks to a fire protection certificate.
