More stainless variants from Jakob 27 April 2023

JAKOB Antriebstechnik now offers five stainless steel couplings as standard series in its product range. The metal bellows couplings KG-VA, KGH-VA and MKG-VA, the spacer coupling series WD-VA and the elastomer coupling EKM-VA.

Both the KGH-VA metal bellows coupling and the WD-VA series are manufactured in the extremely easy-to-assemble half-shell hub design. Assembly and disassembly of the couplings are no longer difficult, even in cramped installation conditions. The fixed hub halves are placed on the shaft and screwed to the loose half-shell pieces. Due to the rust-proof stainless steel construction, they are also ideally suited for use in the food sector.

The KG-VA series can be used up to 350°C, with shaft diameters of 10mm – 90mm and torque ranges from 30Nm to 1,000Nm. The KGH-VA series is wear and maintenance-free, can be used up to 350°C, includes shaft diameters of 7mm – 85 mm, torque ranges from 10Nm to 1,200Nm and is available in variable lengths with 2 or 4 corrugated bellows.

The MKG-VA variant is a miniature metal bellows coupling with a clamping hub. It is available with 2 or 4 corrugated bellows, can be used up to 350° and can safely transmit up to 15Nm. Also new are the EKM-VA elastomer coupling, which can transmit up to 500Nm. Equipped with an easy-to-assemble clamping hub, it can be used at temperatures of up to 90°C.

The spacer coupling WD-VA is available in variable lengths up to 3m and offers backlash-free torque transmission. It can also be used at temperatures of up to 350°C and includes shaft diameters of 7mm – 85mm with torque ranges of 10Nm – 1,200Nm.
